MY FOCUS
Using Mixed Medium in art, I aim to explore texture in it facets. Specifically focusing on hyper texture. Having texture convey emotions and using materials like crayons, paint, pastel, and the works to achieve this. How can other unusual materials enhance texture to better relate objects. Not just still life’s but objects coming to life.

The idea of catching someone in the act of personal behavior upon window viewing. It doesn't have to be intentional but accidental. That feeling you get when you've looked upon an-others secrecy. What do you do with the new found information and why do we catalogue? But does that feeling always provide negative reactions? I tried to tap into this idea. Using still life objects to establish scene. Its a drawing, that has painting techniques applied. With a mixture of printmaking and collage.

A still life lamp given texture and style. A mixed medium artwork made for interaction. A nightlight fixture turns on to give radiance to the work as the light dances off the tissue papers canvas. A drawing that utilizes painting elements, collage, and found object. A fun and decisive piece.
VINCENT VAN GOGH
Van
I started this piece for an Artist Residency through the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit. It’s meant to embody the art for the sake of mentality, even though it’s a residency. The artist made fun works and I wanted to nod my head in that direction. Uplifting their creativity and making similarities. It’s a mixed medium series, of peeled paint, that is glued in place, painted into and all sorts of other fun things. Working on a genre of art called Hyper Texture where texture can be used to initiate feelings of objects. The softness of a peach, the fuzzy hairs, and the feel of things.
Series of three works, to be hung as one art piece. The first is called Vincent, then Van, and the final is obviously Gogh. Titled Vincent Van Gogh. Multi medium piece that utilizes acrylic paint, crayons, pastels, and tissue paper. Embodies the feeling of objects with texture.
